Reality Check

Seeing as were teens, we get treated differently. Not just by our parents but also boss's and family to.
I get the feeling from this video that we get treated mostly negatively .  We are the broken by Benefit of a Doubt shows many problems within their music video of what we can and mostly every teens will go through.

I believe that reality is shown well in this video. Teens don't just get bossed around by parents but as shown in the video we can also get treated bad through jobs or school wise. The guy in the video was doing his job, not happily but he was still cleaning for his money. For his boss to come in and start arguing with him to do better, and clean somewhere else isn't the way people should be told. You can't start one job, keep it unfinished to go clean up another mess. The resteraunt was closed so theres no reason to rush into more then you can handle. We are able to do anything we set our minds to, so if a job has to be done a certain way we can learn or do our best. Being treated like crap can and probably will make us do a worse job on it then already shown. Not only is this a problem but because someone is smart, and doesn't have the looks doesnt mean teens should treat others horribly. Shown in video the nerd gets her books pushed out of her hands by the "popular" girl this does happen, but it's not that obvious... Being a teen is a hard job, so why make other teens life worse to?  If teens don't have respect for each other how do we expect adults to treat us then?

I see that as barley anything that teens go through though. I dont know anyone whos bulimic, because if I did they wouldn't be that way. Seeing media and how beautiful were "expected" to look like does have an affect on teens believe it or not. It's a huge thing within our lives. I dont see how people don't think their pretty because they have some weight. There's not a good reason to puke over it, if you wanna be skinny, do it in a healthy way. Talk to your parents they can help, get a gym membership, go with some friends. Puking to be skinny is a really unhealthy way to deal with things. You can't choose how you look, but you can choose your personality and thats what really matters. Being beautiful to me isn't being skinny with nice curves, it's being yourself.

Teen pregnancy is a huge thing in todays world. I know of many teen moms, its not to say we can't be the best or do the best for children but we do have a life of our own to take care of. Think before you do. At the teen age you just start to feel like your living, as you get older you get treated with more respect and don't get the back lash of everything. We deserve good if we do good. Sexual activity is starting way earlier now, I see young people kissing and getting pretty close. Seeing things like this on t.v can show younger kids that its natural and anyone can do it. P.D.A isn't in any of my interest.

This video really appealed to me, and probably many other teens to, not only because the song is good and talks truth, but because the reality in the video is actually surreal. Teen pregnancy, bulimia, and treating others bad because their not pretty, or their nerdy or, their not doing the best job that they can. Live life the way you want, but make sure it's healthy and safe for you and others. I enjoyed this video. Teens need to come together and treat each other better, maybe that will improve on the parents and everyone else in the world.
